The share issue in Spektrum was subscribed for a total of SEK 8.7 million and the company acquired 471 new shareholders. The majority of all existing owners, including several of the founders, Ingemar Stenmark and government backed Almi Invest, were also involved in the issue.
Spektrum was founded in 2012 by four professionals with the ambition of offering uncompromising quality, stylish design and at the same time becoming a leader in sustainability. In 2017, Spektrum, together with the Sports Tech Research Center, launched a self-designed model in biomaterials. Ahead of the upcoming winter season 2020/2021, Spectrum will transition to having all models in biomaterials. For this, the company has received a good international reception. In January 2020, it was also known that Spektrum won gold in the ski goggles category for the Östra Premium model at the world's largest winter sports fair ISPO Munich.
With a strong foothold in the Swedish domestic market, the company now continues to invest internationally within Europe but also towards North America and in the long term Asia. The issue proceeds will be used to strengthen the sales team, hire an e-commerce manager and increase marketing towards the new export markets with the new e-commerce.
The valuation of Spektrum amounted to SEK 28 million (pre-money). The largest owners after the issue are the founders together with 30%, followed by Jellyfish Invest with 22% and Spektrum Partners with 12% of the company.
